Plough variation 2

This time the Plough asana is done with the arms and hands stretched out beyond  the head.  
Plow variation 2
Ear-knee Pose (Karna Peedasan)

In this variation of the Plough, the knees are allowed to bend towards the floor.  At maximum
bend this asana could be called the “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye” pose.  However, nobody uses that
term.
Increase
gradually to
four
repetitions.  
Take it easy.
Eventually you
will be able to
grab your toes
when in in the
full bend.

This will allow
your to stretch
the calves.
When you are comfortable with this asana, you can swing up onto your buttocks during the final
repetition, holding on to your toes and balancing for a moment.  Then let go and allow both ends
of your body to settle back onto the mat as you inhale.
